It’s not uncommon for #squash leaves to have powdery #mildew, but since it affects yield, how can you go about treating or preventing powdery mildew in squash?

* Practice crop rotation. Do not plant cucurbits in the same area for at least two years.
* Keep the garden free of weeds.
* Prevent common occurrences of powdery mildew with fungicide such as copper fungicides, sulfur sprays, neem oil or a homemade DIY spray of 2 TBSP of baking soda mixed with one gallon of water transferred to a spray bottle as needed.
* Apply mulch around plants.
* Destroy any diseased plant debris at the end of the growing season.
