Rose rosettes disease is a rose lover’s worst nightmare. It’s a viral infection spread by a microscopic mite. Once you see signs of it on even ONE branch… it’s time to get rid of that rose so you aren’t spreading it to your other roses. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for this disease, but inspecting/removing roses with rose rosettes and thoroughly disinfecting pruning tools BETWEEN roses can prevent the spread of rose rosettes.
