Tomatoes are one of my favourite vegetables to grow. If you're looking to start growing your own produce, tomatoes are an amazing first choice as they thrive in small spaces.

Depending on which tomato type you want, you can grow them outdoors in a sunny spot or like I do inside a greenhouse or polytunnel.

Tomato season is between July and October, so I start sowing in February to ensure I provide them with the right amount of time and temperature to grow.

Growing and harvesting tomatoes requires a bit of effort, but is so rewarding as there's nothing quite like enjoying a freshly harvested tomato with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Maldon Salt.
