Savoy cabbage, kale, cauliflower all sown on the same day, for many and varied harvests

I sowed seeds of all these plants on 21st June, summer solstice - nice and easy to remember. Next we transplanted them as small but sturdy seedlings on 17th July. Now it's 1st November.

The previous plantings which we harvested in spring and early summer were peas and lettuce. I applied no new compost before planting these brassicas, and do not use any feeds or fertiliser.
Soil is healthy and fertile thanks to no dig, also weeds are few and not much time is needed.

One thing I do and recommend though is to cover summer brassica plantings with mesh. This massively reduces insect damage and gives protection against pigeons.

Already many plants have given harvests. And there is much more still coming to eat, even into winter.
The climate here is oceanic temperate, zone 8..

Cabbages are Ormskirk and Cantasa F1. kale is Cavolo Nero, the romanesco cauliflower is Navona F1.
