** this PSA applies to my garden friends in zones 8+ — if your first frost is before November 20th - these are too small to plant for blooms this year; but perfect for planting in the garden for blooms next year!***

Ferry Morse sent me these super neat plantlings to try and it reminded me that it’s almost time for the annual mum public service announcement!

Step away from the mums in full bloom, just do it. If you are hosting in your home the next few weeks, add them to your cart… but if you’re expecting them to be in bloom in fall — think twice.

Go with a baby mum plant, like these plantlings from @ferrymorseseed - younger plants will take a number of weeks to mature — so when all of your neighbors mums have been tossed to the curb (which— don’t do that, they’re perennials! Just plant them instead) … yours will be coming into full bloom and gorgeous. Just in time for sweater weather and pumpkin spice lattes ????
